Council Member introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION # <br /> <br />CONSIDER AUTHORIZATION TO HIRE <br /> A PATROL OFFICER <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, On September 28, 2004 staff received Council authorization to recruit a <br />Patrol Officer as part of the 2005 budget; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City Council has included a second patrol officer position as part of the <br />2005 budget; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, staff has requested and has been granted authorization to begin the <br />recruitment process for the second patrol officer position using the eligibility list fi'om the <br />most recent patrol officer recruitment; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, staff has requested authorization to hire a patrol officer at an hourly <br />wage not to exceed $21.65 and the selected candidate will begin employment on or after <br />January 3, 2005; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the selected candidate will be named at the January 11, 2005 City <br />Council meeting.. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, <br /> <br />Confirms the recommendation of the Personnel Committee to do the following: <br /> <br />Grant authorization to staffto hire a patrol officer at an hourly wage not to exceed $21.65. <br />The selected individual will begin employment on or after January 3, 2005 and the <br />individual's name will be presented to the City Council for ratification at the January 11, <br />2005 City Council meeting. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council <br />Member, , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the tbllowing abstained: <br />and the tbllowing were absent: <br /> <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City <br />Council this the 14th day of December, 2004. <br /> <br /> <br />
