Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #2: <br /> <br />Request for Preliminary Plat Review of Sunfish Business Park; Case of City <br />of Ramsey <br /> <br />Community Development Director Frolik stated that the City has been in the process of platting <br />the new industrial park, Sunfish Business Park. The Planning Commission reviewed the <br />proposed preliminary plat on December 4, 2002, and recommended City Council approval. The <br />City Council reviewed and approved the preliminary plat on January 8, 2002. Subsequent to the <br />Planning Commission and City Council review, staff received several inquires from various <br />businesses interested in locating in the City of Ramsey. The interested businesses only require <br />two to three acres of land in order to facilitate business operations. In order to accommodate <br />these potential businesses, staff was proposing to change the layout of the plat to include a <br />combination of small and large lot parcels. The Planning Commission reviewed and <br />recommended City Council approval of the revised preliminary plat on March 7, 2002. <br />Subsequent to the Planning Commission meeting, an industrial business approached the City <br />about purchasing Lot 1, Block 3. However the business only needs two acres in order to <br />facilitate their business operations. The preliminary plat that the Planning Commission reviewed <br />proposed Lot 1, Block 3, to be seven acres in size. In discussions with Hakanson Anderson, it <br />was determined that a two acre parcel could be created and the remaining five acres could be <br /> <br />City Council/April 23, 2002 <br /> Page 5 of 16 <br /> <br /> <br />
