fabric. <br /> <br />7. Thread <br /> <br />Thread shall be specially constructed Arsmid for strength, <br />durability and flame resistance. Ail seams to be 7 (+) 2 <br />stitches per inch. <br /> <br />8. Labels <br /> <br />Each jacket shall have sewn to the inside lining pocket one or <br />more labels, stating the following: name and address of garment <br />maker, size of jacket, adequate warning of the designed use and <br />limitations of those uses, care instructions, including <br />instructions for washing and cleaning. NFPA and OSHA labels. <br /> <br />9. Construction <br /> <br />No metal of any kind on outside of shell. Reinforcement at <br />shoulders, elbows and cuffs shall be double layer of Aramid <br />fabric (no leather). Ail jackets shall have double stitched <br />outside seams with Aramid thread and all interior seams finished <br />to prevent raveling. Ail stress points shall be reinforced for <br />extra strenght (bar tack). Thermal liners shall be compatible <br />with the outer shell to prevent bulkiness, and so they do not <br />pull, bind, buckle, or o~herwise restrict body motion, even ~,hen <br />arms are raised directly overhead. The jacket is constructed in <br />such a way that there shall be no direct metal contact to the <br />skin area. Air space is left between layers of the several <br />fabrics to allow thermal insulation and protection. The lining <br />shall extend to within 2 inches of the bottom top hem of the <br />jacket. Garment is to have web neck loop 3/$" X 5". <br /> <br />10. Trim <br /> <br />Trim will be Scotchlite Lime-Yellow. A 2" wide strip, 10" long, <br />part way dc~-n middle of each front panel, starting at yoke. The <br />2" wide strips around each sleeve, up about 3" and 6" from sleeve <br />botts. Two 3" wide strips across back at bottom of double <br />shoulder. Any lettering shall be applied below double shoulder <br />yoke. Lettering to read: RAMSEY Spaced appropriatley for easy <br />identification. <br /> <br />11. Sizes and Lengths <br /> <br />Custom fitted by seller. <br /> <br />Length: Approximately 26 inches. Extra Small and Extra Large <br />sizes will be slightly shorter and longer, determined by coat <br />proportions. <br /> <br />SCOPE AND PURPOSE <br /> <br />The specificatio~ must cover the requirements of I~FPA, <br />inherently flame resistant PBI-Kevlar outer shell made water <br />repellent, having a ~omex quilt the~-mal liner sewn to a Gor-Tex <br />coated Nomex of vapor barrier. Fiber content of these fabrics <br />meet the recuirements of NFPA Standard 197I, all Minnesota OSEA <br />standards w~th labels and include all first quality materials. <br /> <br /> <br />
