Public Hearing <br /> <br />Mayor Pro Tern Zimmennan called the public hearing to order at 7:24 p.m. <br /> <br />Citizen Input <br /> <br />Tllcl'C was llOlle. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cook, seconded by Councilmember Pearson, to close the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Pro Tem Zimmerman, Councilmembers Cook, Pearson, <br />Elvig, and Kurak. Voting No: None. Absent: Mayor Gamec and Councilmember Strommen. <br /> <br />The public hearing was closed at 7:24 p.m. <br /> <br />Couucil Business <br /> <br />Mayor Pro Tern Zimmerman called the regular City Council meeting back to order at 7:24 p.m. <br /> <br />Motion by Councihnember Cook, seconded by Councilmember Pearson, to adopt Resolution <br />#04-02-368 adopting the City of Ramsey's 2005-2009 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Pro Tem Zimmerman, Councilmembers Cook, Pearson, <br />Elvig and Kurak. Voting No: None. Absent: Mayor Gamec and Councilmember Strommen. <br /> <br />Case #3: Report from Finance Committee <br /> <br />Councihnember Elvig noted the Finance Committee discussed Case No. 17 of the Council <br />agenda as Case No. 5 of the Finance Committee agenda. <br /> <br />I ) Review aud Adopt 2005 Tax Levy and General Fund Budget <br /> <br />Finance Office Lund stated this is the same information that was presented at the Truth in <br />Taxation meeting on Monday. The total amount of the levy is $6,035,880. She advised there <br />was some question as to whether the Mississippi River Storm Water Sub Drainage District can <br />continue to be levied because the second phase of the project has not been authorized. It has <br />been determined that as long as the City has the feasibility study and has authorized that it go <br />forward, it can be levied. <br /> <br />Councihnember Elvig explained there was concern during the Finance Committee meeting of <br />the City having to reimburse the funds if the project is not enacted before the properties are <br />sold.
