Ms. Peterson stated she thinks there <br />will be a lot of opposition. <br /> <br />Councihnember Hendriksen noted the reporter from the Anoka Union is present and suggested <br />she be asked to write an article so more will know about it. He pointed out that this is first <br />reading so it will be considered again. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that mailed notice is not required but it was published in the legal <br />newspaper and an article included in the Ramsey Resident. He stated they met with the <br />snowmobile club in an effort to get the information out. <br /> <br />Luella Peterson, 15621 Erkium Street NW, stated she was interviewed last week but that <br />information was not included in the Anoka Union. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen noted that the Council meetings are televised and signs are posted <br />where land uses are being considered, but not everyone will know about everything. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman asked if notice was included in the Ramsey Resident. <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman answered in the affirmative. <br /> <br />Mr. Peterson stated this affects over 20% of the City and asked if any signs were posted or <br />notices published. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen stated signs were not posted. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated notice was published in the Ramsey Resident and the Anoka Union. <br /> <br />Mr. Peterson stated he did not see that notice and asked the City to confirm that it was published. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec explained that an affidavit of publication was received that includes the date of <br />legal publication. He explained that at the last meeting, the public hearing was continued <br />because a lady questioned whether the snowmobile club had been notified. <br /> <br />Jay Jagerson, 7620 ~ 158th Avenue NW, requested that access be allowed to Highway #10. He <br />suggested the line be moved to the south, perhaps through Alpine Drive which divides Ramsey. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated the Council did consider Alpine Drive but felt 159th Avenue was a more <br />straight line and easier to enforce. <br /> <br />Mr. Jagerson again requested his property be provided access to at least Armstrong Boulevard. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec suggested that the snowmobile club be notified when the second reading is <br />considered on July 9, 2002. <br /> <br /> City Council/June 11, 2002 <br /> Page 6 of 30 <br /> <br /> <br />
