P68 <br /> <br />2) Upcoming Meetings <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman announced the Truth in Taxation Hearing is scheduled for Monday, <br />December 6'h at 6:00 p.m. He suggested the December 7"~ work session be rescheduled to <br />December 6'~ following the hearing <br /> <br />Councilmember Elvig indicated he will be at the Truth in Taxation Hearing, but will be unable to. <br />attend the work session. <br /> <br />Councilmember Strommen requested an update on the wetland buffer at the work session. <br /> <br />The consensus of the Council was to begin the work session at 5:30 pr/or to the hearing, and to <br />continue the work session following the hearing. <br /> <br />Councihnember Kurak inquired if there is just one Council meeting scheduled in December. <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman replied staff has been working under that direction. He requested the <br />Councilmembers Elect begin participating in the work sessions. <br /> <br />3) Greenspace <br /> <br />Councilmember Elvig requested staff to look at some examples of different types of PUD <br />developments. He stated he is concerned' as to what developments look like when they start <br />getting buffers and creating greenspace corridors to tie together. He would like the City to be <br />able to show developers that come into the City five or so examples of what they would like. <br />There are pockets of dollars available out there, and he would like to be able to assist developers <br />in finding those funds if they create these types of PUD's. <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman indicated this information will be brought forward to a future work <br />session. <br /> <br />Councihnember Strommen indicated the other piece to this is the overlay map of open space and <br />the ~eenway corridor so they know where they might want those developments. These two <br />pieces would dovetail. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cook commented some of that can be gained by possibly giving a developer <br />some kind of credit for ~eenspace dedication in a particular development where the City would <br />like to see greenspace. <br /> <br />Councilmember Elvig stated the concern he has is everyone wants greenspace and the question is <br />who pays for it. He does not want the burden of this to be on the citizens. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cook stated park dedication comes from the developer and gives them a benefit <br />so they do not have to put out cash.
