Motion by Councilmember Hendrlksen, seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman, to close the public hearing. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Hendriksen, Zimmerman, Anderson, and Kurak. Voting No: None. The public hearing closed at 7:36 p.m. Council Business The regular meeting of the City Council was called back to order at 7:36 p.m. Mayor Gamec inquired if the change would be significant enough to require another public hearing. City Engineer Olson replied no, explaining that the easement would stay the same. City Attorney Goodrich agreed that another public hearing would not be necessary. Councilmember Zimmerman stated that the City has spent a considerable amount of money to correct drainage problems, and inquired if vacating the easement would worsen the situation. City Engineer Olson explained that the overflow is actually going in the opposite direction from what it was, but he will look into the issue further prior to the next City Council meeting. Councilmember Zimmerman inquired if the shed would be moveable. Ms. Nielsen replied that the shed would be 12x20 with a wood base. City Attorney Goodrich stated that the issue would be if the shed interferes with the drainage and utility easement. A drainage and utility easement does not mean they cannot have a structure on it. Motion by Councilmember Anderson, seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen, to introduce an ordinance to vacate a portion of the drainage and utility easement on Lot 7, Block 8, Amber Ridge. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Anderson, Hendriksen, and Kurak. Voting No: Councilmember Zimmerman. Councilmember Zimmerman requested that staff provide him with the elevations of the north west point of the easement and the point closest to the rear of the house.
