Motion by Councilmember Hendrlksen, seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman, to close the <br />public hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Hendriksen, Zimmerman, <br />Anderson, and Kurak. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />The public hearing closed at 7:36 p.m. <br /> <br />Council Business <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the City Council was called back to order at 7:36 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec inquired if the change would be significant enough to require another public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />City Engineer Olson replied no, explaining that the easement would stay the same. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich agreed that another public hearing would not be necessary. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman stated that the City has spent a considerable amount of money to <br />correct drainage problems, and inquired if vacating the easement would worsen the situation. <br /> <br />City Engineer Olson explained that the overflow is actually going in the opposite direction from <br />what it was, but he will look into the issue further prior to the next City Council meeting. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman inquired if the shed would be moveable. <br /> <br />Ms. Nielsen replied that the shed would be 12x20 with a wood base. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich stated that the issue would be if the shed interferes with the drainage and <br />utility easement. A drainage and utility easement does not mean they cannot have a structure on <br />it. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Anderson, seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen, to introduce an <br />ordinance to vacate a portion of the drainage and utility easement on Lot 7, Block 8, Amber <br />Ridge. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Anderson, Hendriksen, and <br />Kurak.
