Jake, 156l~' Avenue NW, Ramsey, inquired as to why they don't make the line at Sunfish Lake
Boulevard to Highway #10.

Mayor Gamec replied that they could debate the lines forever.

Roger Hermanson, 15115 Garnet Street NW, Ramsey, stated that he has lived in Ramsey 20
years and continually has snowmobiles running up and down the ditches at the end of the cul-de-
sac. He stated that he is in favor of the ordinance.

Bob Peterson, 15621 Erkium Street NW, Ramsey, stated that he moved to Ramsey 22 years ago
and then years ago he joined the snowmobile club. He stated that the snowmobile club worked
with City staff to develop some kind of compromise, but they don't have enough members on the
club to voice opposition or build trails. He stated that the snowmobilers that are not club
members are to blame.

Lee Corbin, 5671-146'~' Circle NW, Ramsey, inquired if the line is drawn is set in stone or is that
why they are present. He stated that he would be willing to join the snowmobile club and
questioned if all avenues had been explored. He suggested that possibly if they promote the club
and hold snowmobile events they could work together to resolve the problems instead of banning
the snowmobiles. He stated that he thought a lot of good people would be willing to work on
resolving the problems with the bad people.

Sergeant Way noted that the City currently has a MUSA policy already in effect and the only
areas that snowmobiles are permitted to ride within the MUSA is on streets. That is already the
law regardless of the proposed ordinance.

Jeffery Menth 14726 Ramsey Boulevard NW, Ramsey, requested that they review the non-use
area again.

Sergeant Way reviewed the proposed non-use area.

Mr. Menth inquired if snowmobiling would be banned on the proposed town center site.

Sergeant Way replied yes.

Mr. Menth inquired if property owners living within the non-use area would be permitted to
snowmobile on their own property.

Sergeant Way replied yes.

Mr. Menth inquired if a snowmobiler would need written permission to snowmobile on a
neighbor's property.

Sergeant Way replied yes.

City Council/September 11, 2002
