Principal City Engineer Olson replied that that was not the case. <br /> <br />Councilmember Anderson stated that the sewer and water discussion is a major issue, but is a <br />policy question. She stated that preliminary plat and the sewer policy need to be separated. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Kurak, seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen, to table action and <br />recommend that Councilmember Hendriksen meet with the City Engineer prior to the next <br />meeting to discuss his concerns. <br /> <br />Further discussion: Councilmember Hendriksen disagreed with the characterization of him <br />asking questions. He explained that he was attempting to discuss policy where it appears to be in <br />conflict of what is being proposed. They never did resolve the issues when it was discussed at <br />work session. He inquired if they could add to the motion that the adjoining property owners <br />along Sunfish Lake Boulevard be notified of the next meeting and that there are more options <br />within the density transition ordinance than simply screening. Councilmember Anderson stated <br />that she thought it would be more appropriate to discuss the policy at a future work session. City <br />Attorney Goodrich inquired if there was any concern with the 60-day requirement. Principal <br />Planner Trudgeon replied that the Council has until November 6th to act on the plat. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hendriksen, seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman, to amend the <br />motion to direct staff to inform the three property owners along Sunfish Lake Boulevard of the <br />full extent of the density transition ordinance by providing a copy of the ordinance and <br />notification of the next meeting. <br /> <br />Amendment carried. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #7: <br /> <br />Request for Preliminary Plat Approval of White Oak Addition: Case of <br />Wurm-Paumen Properties, LLC <br /> <br />Principal Planner Trudgeon stated that Wurm-Paumen Properties have applied for preliminary <br />plat approval to develop 29.2 acres on Ramsey Boulevard at 158th Lane NW. The property is <br />zoned R-1 Residential and is located in the Rural Developing Pa'ea. The proposed major <br />subdivision is a replat of the Kruger homestead that will create five lots that are all over the <br />required minimum lot size of 2.5 acres. Darrel Kruger owns a 28.5-acre parcel on Ramsey <br />Boulevard south of 159th Lane NW. The developer, Wurm-Paumen Properties, LLC, is applying <br />for a major subdivision that proposes five new lots, all of which are larger than the 2.5-acre <br />minimum required in the R-l, Rural Developing Area. The existing homestead is located on <br />proposed Lot 5, which will be removed.
