Associate Planner Wald explained that the City received $16,000, but they have spent about
$12,000. If they were to decided to relocate the Old Town Hall all of that money would have to
be paid back.

Member Gromberg inquired as to how much staff thought they could sell the ½ acre for and if
there was any interest from the neighboring property owners to purchase the land.

Associate Planner Wald replied that Landmark is interested in acquiring the property for parking
purposes, but they were not sure about Children's World.

TIF Specialist Sullivan stated that he thought the City could sell the parcel for $2.00 per square
foot.

Member Gromberg replied that the problem is that the lot is a non-conforming non-buildable lot.

Member Kiefer noted that the County has the value at $4.00 per square foot. He stated that in
order for them to make a decision they will need to know what land would be available in the
Town Center, what the cost would be to move the building and how much would have to be paid
back to the historical society.

Member Gromberg stated that they also need to find out what interest there is with the adjacent
property owners to purchase the property as well as what it would cost to make the building
usable.

Mmnber Kurak inquired if other members of the EDA were thinking that they wanted to see the
Old Town Hall located in the Town Center or should staff be looking at a couple scenarios.

Member Gromberg thought that they should be looking at a couple of different options.

Member Kiefer stated that if the Old Town Hall is going to be moved the Town Center makes the
most sense.

Associate Planner Wald inquired if they were to decide to leave the Old Town Hall in its current
location what would they envision for it.

Member LeTourneau replied that he could see using the building as a meeting location for civic
organizations.

Associate Planner Wald replied that the problem with that is that there is no parking available so
they would have to upgrade the street to a public street.

Mr. Feeges suggested that another option might be to locate the building in the County Regional
Park.

Economic Development Authority April 19, 2004
Page 3 of 10
