Landscape Architecture

The landscape design builds upon and blends with the landscape design of the
city hall while complimenting the architecture 'of the new parking facility. The city
hall's landscape design 'is continued to the parking facility allowing the outdoor
space to look and function as a Singular and unique outdoor room. Similar plant
materials, including Heritage Park' BirChes and turf, will-make the landscape
seamlessly blend With the city hall landScape design. There is a 12 'foot wide
sidewalk along the east :Side of the parking facility which, runs from Civic Center
Drive to Sunwood Drive. This sidewalk ties all the pedestrian elements in the
area together. It allows easy flow between the parking facility and the city hall as
well as an easy walk from the core area to the transit station and park & ride.

The landscaping south of the parking facility will compliment the parking facility
architecture and tie Civic Center Drive frontage t° the larger city hall area. South
of Civic Center Drive Heritage park BirChes will be planted again helping to
visually tie this area to the larger City. hall area. Erosion control mulches and
grasses will also be provided to .stabilize and protect this site for future transit
improvements. North and west of the parking facility erosion control mulches
and grasses will be provided .to proteCt and stabilize these areas until Phase 2
development of the parking facility and future retail developments take place. The
north staidelevator tower will .be enhanced with shade trees, selected shrubs and
perennials. The east side irrigation will be coordinated with the city hail
landscape design allowing these Plantings to be watered and maintained in
unison with the city hall landscape design. Other irrigation will be as noted on the
drawings.

61
