CSAH 34 (Birch Street) Study <br />The completed study identifies a preferred roadway <br />concept along CSAH 34 (Birch Street) between CSAH 49 <br />(Hodgson Road) and CSAH 54 (20th Street). <br />State Plans and Studies <br />The following sub -sections describe recommendations <br />from important state plans and studies regarding <br />roadway improvements and/or access for principal <br />arterials. <br />Highway 65 Access Ma ement Study <br />MnDOT completed an access management study on <br />Highway 65 from just north of Bunker Lake Boulevard in <br />Ham Lake to 245th Avenue N. in East Bethel. The study, in cooperation with Anoka County, <br />East Bethel, Ham Lake and the Metropolitan Council, developed an access management <br />plan. The study provided lower cost improvements to improve safety and manage <br />congestion on Highway 65. It is intended to guide decisions on future access changes and <br />access locations in the Highway 65 study area. <br />U.S. Highway 10 Corridor Management Rdian, <br />MnDOT completed the U.S. 10 Corridor Management Plan (CMP) on a 48-mile section of US <br />10 between I-35W in Ramsey County and Highway 24 in Clear Lake, Minnesota, under the <br />Interregional Corridor Program. <br />The plan recommended: <br />• Converting the corridor to a six -lane freeway from CSAH 9/Round Lake Boulevard in <br />Coon Rapids to US 169 in Elk River <br />» Expanding the corridor to an eight -lane freeway from I-35W in Mounds View to <br />CSAH 9/Round Lake Boulevard in Coon Rapids <br />• Reducing and/or consolidating a number of access points, or intersections along <br />the corridor; and <br />• Converting at -grade intersections to interchanges at the following locations within <br />Anoka County: <br />- US 10 Interchange at Jarvis Street <br />- US 10 Interchange at CSAH 83/Armstrong Boulevard <br />- US 10 Interchange at CSAH 56/Ramsey Boulevard <br />ANOKA COUNTY 2040 TRANSPORTATION PLAN UPDATE CHAPTER 6 - IMPROVEMENT STRATEGIES AND IMPLEMENTATION 105 <br />
