All holidays <br />specified in this paragraph will be paid in dollars, rather than time accumulation. An <br />employee who is required to work overtime on a oliday shall receive pay at two (2) times <br />the Employees base pay rate for that time wo - in addition to their regular shift. <br />17.4 Each Employee shall have the option to ,; ' ::'y or all o /her holiday hours back to the <br />employer at his/her current rate of pay. This holiday buy ba option may be taken during <br />two time periods annually: January 1 through January 15, and November 1 through <br />November 15. In any event, no h hours shall carry per to the next year. <br />17.5 Employees who leave employmen <br />holiday hours from holidays that occ <br />ecember 31 only be paid for unused <br />to tkie term ation date. <br />Employees who use holiday hours or r- ive comp-4ration for holiday hours before the <br />holiday occur and leave employment prior to December 31st, must pay the City back <br />holiday ho or any holiday that has not occ ed prior to the termination date. Funds <br />owed to the City must be paid prior to endin e employment relationship. <br />CLE EIGHTEEN (18) <br />FITNESS -ON -DUTY <br />18.1 purpose of this Article is to give each Officer the option to exercise while on duty. <br />s is a voluntary Fitness -on- ty program which provides an opportunity for employees <br />engaged in stressful and somewhat sedentary jobs an opportunity to: 1) Improve job <br />performa 2) Red ce health risks, 3) Reduce job -related injuries, 4) Reduce <br />absenteeis= d 5) 9prove overall fitness. <br />18.2 This program i bject to the following terms and conditions: The employee will be given <br />the option to work out one hour per shift. The average should not exceed s hours of , - 4 Deleted: i <br />workout time over two weeks.
