Assistant Public Works Director Olson stated tiffs was his concern because would preserving this <br />be financially feasible for the person doing this. <br /> <br />Commissioner Shryock explained she thought they_could put this out on the table to let them <br />know that they are interested in this. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Shryock, seconded by Commissioner Olds to continue on with <br />negations for the preservation of the Trott Brook area and if all else fails that the area be a future <br />concern with future subdivision and allow for the cash payment of park dedication for this one <br />lot subdivision. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Johns, Commissioners Shryock, Olds., LaMere, and <br />Lehman. 'Voting No: None. Absent: Ostrum. <br /> <br />Case #2: Recommend Park Dedication for Letendre Addition <br /> <br />City Civil Engineer 1I Linton explained Robert Letendre and Theresa Weibe are requesting <br />preliminary approval to replat two homesteads to create a th/rd buildable lot. The Planning <br />Commission case is attached for reference. <br /> <br />The City has the option of cash, land or a combination of cash and land for park dedication. The <br />City's 2003 park dedication fee is $1800 per residential lot; existing homesteads are exempt from <br />park dedication fees. The plat will be subject to the park dedication rate in effect at the time of <br />final plat approval. Park dedication fees must be paid prior to the City releasing the plat for <br />recording at Anoka County. <br /> <br />The City has established a trail development fee at a rate of $475 per unit; existing homesteads <br />are exempt from this fee. The plat will be subject to the trail fee in effect at the time of final plat <br />approval. This feed must be paid prior to the City releasing the mylars for recording. <br /> <br />Commissioner Olds asked how they started with 17 acres and then ended up with 17.2 acres. <br /> <br />City Civil Engineer II Linton stated the report was prepared by commtmity services and he would <br />have to defer comment to them. <br /> <br />Chairperson Johns asked if this was along Armstrong. <br /> <br />City Civil Engineer II Linton explained it was. <br /> <br />Discussion between the Commission ensued in regards to how much land they wanted set aside. <br /> <br />Assistant Public Works Director Olson asked if they wanted a 20-foot corridor in lieu of the <br />$475.00 trail development fee. . ~ <br /> <br />Chairperson Johns asked if they should have this set aside automatically and then also take cash. <br /> <br /> Park and Recreation Commission/November 13, 2003 <br /> Page 5 of 11 <br /> <br /> <br />
