Mayor Gamec noted at one time the City looked into a funding for a walkway bridge to the park, and it was never folloWed through on. There are several cities getting those walkways now. He suggested a request be submitted for a bridge, and noted the land is currently vacant. With the possible pm'chase of the AmocO site, it maY be the time to hold the easement there. The Public Works Committee recommended that the feasibility study be prepared outlining the proposed improvements and associated costs of improving Welcome's Road with the understanding that the City will provide 50 percent of the funding contingent upon the petition being verified for compliance with the required number of property owner signatures. Cotmcilmelnber Elvig noted Welcome's Road Petitioned Public Works last year to realign the dirt road, which has moved as mUch as three :feet.
