· Curb and gutter costs will be assessed 50 percent to non-benefited property owners and <br /> 100 percent to benefited property owners <br /> · Water main looping will be paid fully bythe City <br />And that sidewalk be added to the project and funded through the City's Trail Fund. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Elvig, Cook, Jeffrey, Olson, <br />Pearson, and Strommen. Voting No: None.' <br /> <br />7) Consider Adopting Performance Standards for Trails <br /> <br />Assistant Public Works Director Olson indicated the Public Works Committee looked at number <br />of different planning standards for the trail system in conjunction with the Master Trail Plan. <br />The Committee also made the following recommendations: <br /> · Trails or sidewalks be constructed onboth sides of the road on all State, County, or MSA <br /> roads. <br /> · The performance standards be accepted as recommended by City staff with the inclusion <br /> ol~ a tow foot shoulder width, the elimination of the separation from nearest lane of traffic <br /> and interval between two percent straight cross slope area, with the condition that they are <br /> cai led transportation trails., <br /> Medium density or higher density developments require sidewalks on both sides of the <br /> main arterial public road and sidewalks on one side of the road on all secondary streets <br /> whether they are private or public including cul-de-sacs longer than 300 feet if the cul-de- <br /> sac bas a trail connection to an adjacent property. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by Councilmember Cook, to ratify the <br />recommendation of the Public Works Committee in Case 7 and to recommend that: <br /> · Trails or sidewalks be constructed on both sides of the road on all State, County, or MSA <br /> roads. <br /> · The performance standards be accepted as recommended by City staff with the inclusion <br /> of a tow foot shoulder width, the elimination of the separation from nearest lane of traffic <br /> and interval between two percent straight cross slope area, with the condition that they are <br /> called transportation trails. <br /> · Medium density or higher density developments require sidewalks on both sides of the <br /> main arterial public road and sidewalks on one side of the road on all secondary streets <br /> whether they are private or public including cul-de-sacs longer than 300 feet if the cul-de- <br /> sac has a trail connection to an adjacent property. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
