P25 <br /> <br />III. <br /> <br />· Adequate budget and resources. <br /> <br />Respect current resource levels/limitations; i.e., staffing, <br />equipment, etc. <br /> <br />Willingness to listen and be' flexible. <br /> <br />commitment of time. <br /> <br />Provision'of a long-term vision for the city. <br /> <br />An expressed appreciation for all staff or the offering of <br />constructive criticism when appropriate. <br /> <br />The participants, in addition to affirming the above listed elements <br />pertaining to the coUncil-staff partnership, made the following <br />additions: <br /> <br />Continue to emphasize what we, the council and the <br />management team, have agreed to in terms of our <br />expectations' of each other <br /> <br />Continue to appreciate the dynamics and successes of what <br />we haze achiev, ed' together in this partnership <br /> <br />Look upon the statements that we have made as" active <br />statements" and that we will keep our commitments to each <br />other in terms of "this is the'way we want to do business <br />together" <br /> <br />We will hold each other accountable for adherence to our <br />commitments to each other in sustaining and strengthening <br />the coUncil-staff partnership. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATIONS <br /> <br />Adoption of the goals as an official policy statement by council. <br /> <br />The council and management team should review the 9 proposed goals <br />to ensure the wording reflects the intent of council. Once these goal <br />statements are finalized, they should be adopted by resolution as. an <br />official policy statement of the council indicating its leadership goals and <br />direction for the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />19 <br /> <br /> <br />
