This engine is located in Station #2 in the east portion of the City and will be 20 years old at time of replacement. The Fire Department
attempts to keep engines on a 20-year replacement cycle for the purpose of maintaining a reliable piece of equipment, limiting repair costs and providing new technology that benefits the
firefighters in the form of efficiency and safety. Maintenance costs for this vehicle will begin to increase more rapidly with age. The fire department also benefits from modern equipment by
attracting perspective firefighter applicants from Ramsey and the surrounding communities. The cost of the project includes replacement of equipment and hose on the vehicle ensuring that
equipment is replaced periodically.
Expenditures 2019 2020 2021 2022 2023 2024 2025 2026 2027 2028 Total
Fumishings/Equipment 275,000 275,000 550,000
Total
275,000 275,000 550,000
Funding Sources 2019 2020 2021 2022 2023 2024 2025 2026 2027 2028 Total
General Fund
275,000 275,000 550,000
Total
275,000 275,000 550,000
60
