2001 Comprehensive Plan <br />Amended February 26, 2002 <br /> <br />Table III-2 shows a general decrease in growth rates throughout Anoka County <br />during the 1980s; however, the overall metropolitan area continued to grow at a <br />good rate. No community in Anoka County shows this trend in such a dramatic <br />fashion as the City of Ramsey going from a growth percentage of 327.7% in the <br />1970s to 22.9% in the 1980s. Figure 3 illustrates Ramsey's irregular pattern of <br />growth through housing starts beginning as early as the 1950s. Municipal sewer facilities were extended to the City <br />of Ramsey in 1985.
