Ms. Wald replied it could take a three to six month period of time for public input, depending on <br />what's found. <br /> <br />Assistant Director of Public Works Olson stated that one difficulty the City will have is the <br />MPCA will control the EAW for sewer pipeline extension - it will likely be closer to six months. <br /> <br />Councihnember Strommen asked what the gap between January 4 and mid February is. <br /> <br />Ms. Wald responded there are two things: ' HKGi will need time to solicit the City Council input <br />and rework scenarios. We would like to haVe a public meeting in January for utility extension. <br /> <br />2) NW Utility Extension <br /> <br />This item will be discussed later in the meeting. <br /> <br />3) Wetland Buffer Study Update <br /> <br />Councihnember Strommen stated this is to bring back an update of what's going on. HKGi is <br />working on this with the Peterson environmental study. The time line was brought to the EPTF. <br />HKGi put together an outline with what the ordinance would contain - the buffer, characteristics <br />of the buffer, etc. They are presenting the outline to the EPTF tonight and hope to have a draft <br />by January. The EPTF is working ona public information booklet to identify wetlands, plantings <br />close to wetlands, etc. (public education). <br /> <br />Councilmember Kurak inquired will they be restricting more setbacks or anything like that. <br /> <br />Councihnember Strommen stated that until we see language that determines a setback - the <br />buffer is basically a setback. <br /> <br />Councihnember Kurak stated we have some houses actually built right almost on top of <br />wetlands. <br /> <br />Councihnelnber Pearson asked if other cities have a board like the EPTF. <br /> <br />Councihnember Strommen stated that Plymouth has one that Ramsey used as a model. <br /> <br />Councihnember Pearson asked if Ramsey could make it stricter to which Councihnember <br />Strommen replied yes and added there are federal and state regulations.
