Mr. Martini stated the $24,000 includes the in depth alignment study. <br /> <br />Mr. Olson thought the EAW would look at general site issues not specifications. <br /> <br />Councihnember Strommen did not understand why they needed an EAW study done at this time <br />if they are not going to be making an alignment decision until February. <br /> <br />Mr. Martini explained what the EAW study would contain. <br /> <br />Councihnember Strommen wondered why they were doing the EAW now when they do not have <br />a project. <br /> <br />Mr. Martini stated this allows them to do preliminary work to see if there are any environmental <br />concerns. <br /> <br />Councihnember Cook stated the EAW is for the City's benefit as to where they should put the <br />lines in. <br /> <br />Counci hnember Zimmerman asked if there was any more trunk capacity north of Trott Brook. <br /> <br />Mr. Olson stated they have discussed this with the Met Council and they have assured the City <br />that they can provide everything they need for the next ten years. <br /> <br />Mr. Trudgeon explained the planning process of the study along with the Comprehensive Plan. <br />Mr. Martini continued with his presentation to the City Council. <br /> <br />Councihnember Strommen thought they should open this up to all the residents in the entire City <br />for comment and questions. <br /> <br />Mr. Olson stated he would like to keep the meeting focused on what impacts there will be to <br />property owners. He stated they would send ,out information to the affected owners and will also <br />include the information in the newsletter. <br /> <br />Mr. Trudgeon stated this would be better handled in the Comp Plan amendment where they could <br />have an open house for people to Come with questions. <br /> <br />Mr. Olson stated they have a specific issue they need to deal with and that is the alignment of the <br />pipes. <br /> <br />The Council discussed how they could inform the public regarding the sewer addition. <br /> <br />City Council Work Session/December 6, 2004 <br /> Page 6 of 8 <br /> <br /> <br />
