Mitigation for loss of <br />forest/woodland can be accomplished through additional <br />tree planting within some areas of the site listed in Table <br />10.1 as containing grassland communities. Additional <br />forest/woodland planting can be incorporated into planting <br />plans for the infiltration/wetland system extending south <br />from the COR site to the Mississippi River. The edges of <br />the wetlands and infiltration areas could be established as <br />an oak savanna/woodland natural community. <br />This mitigation measure is ongoing <br />No change. <br />11.2 <br />Wildlife Habitat: Several strategies are proposed to <br />mitigate impacts to wildlife. These include establishing a <br />greenway corridor through the site, wetland restoration and <br />creation and to the extent possible, all culverts and road <br />crossings will be designed to enable upstream or <br />downstream passage of wildlife as they move through the <br />greenway. <br />This activity has occurred --the <br />greenway corridor has been <br />developed as The Draw park and <br />wetland restoration/creation has <br />taken place.
