Parks/Utilities Supervisor Riverblood stated there is a trail that is yet to occur on Tiger Street.
There are a few minor things that need to happen in the Engineering Department to get this back
to the developers hands to finish. This will connect more neighborhoods together.
Chairperson Johns asked if they installed playground equipment.
Commissioner Olds thought they discussed this but did not have the money to do this.
Parks/Supervisor Riverblood noted the concrete curb is flat in that park.
Bear Park
Parks/Utilities Supervisor Riverblood stated there has not been a lot happening at this park. The
development has built up to the park and they have the irrigation ready. He did not think they
will have enough money to do the parking lot for the park but could install a trail to connect the
two parks together(Woodland Green and Bear).
Central Park
Parks/Utilities Supervisor Riverblood stated there have not been a lot of improvements but the
edging has been cleaned up by volunteers and another field was totally reconstructed. This is the
first full year for the warming house.
Chairperson Johns stated the Baseball Association asked they not put the ice rink over the field
there because it is hard on the field.
Parks/Utilities Supervisor Riverblood stated they could look at this because in the spring it does
look bad.
Chairperson Johns noted the Baseball Association wondered if they could use the warming house
in the summer for equipment storage.
Parks/Utilities Supervisor Riverblood stated they could discuss this with them.
Elmcrest Park
Civil Engineer II Linton reviewed the process and costs with the Commission for the
construction of the park.
Chairperson Johns asked if it will be paved and class 5 this year.
Civil Engineer II Linton stated it will be paved yet this fall. The contractor has been busy with
other projects. The curb staking has been started.
Chairperson Johns asked how far they have gotten on the project.
Park and Recreation Commission/September 9,2004
Page 3 of 8
