and community development decision making."30 While not required by the Metropolitan Council, all cities, regardless of funding, are encouraged to integrate the recommendations found in the ARAI into their Comprehensive Plans in order to solidify the commitment to addressing fair housing implications in future community development. Cities are encouraged to create a Fair Housing Action Plan to address the impediments and recommended steps in the most recent Analysis of Fair Housing or Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice. The plan will outline the impediments that were identified for the city, which impediments were going to be addressed and during which time period, and how those impediments would be addressed.
