0 Councilmember Zimmerman inquired if it would be beneficial to reduce the hump by three feet. <br />Principal City Engineer Olson replied yes. <br />Mayor Gamec noted that one of the major cost factors when they looked at the issue before was <br />the relocating of the driveway for the white farmhouse. <br />Principal City Engineer Olson replied that he did not consider that as being a large cost. <br />Councilmember Zimmerman stated that he did not know how the City could afford to proceed <br />with the project at this time. <br />Councilmember Hendriksen stated that he thought the money would be better spent on a <br />stoplight. <br />Councilmember Anderson inquired if they could install a sign -notifying motorists of the danger. <br />Principal City Engineer Olson replied that he was not sure what type of signage would be <br />appropriate, but the sign would have to be approved by the State. He stated that he would report <br />back to the Council if he received a response from MnDOT. <br />2) Update to Information re: Ramsey Boulevard/C.R. #56 <br />• City Engineer Olson informed the Committee that the City has been named in a lawsuit for an <br />accident that occurred earlier in the year at the intersection of Ramsey Boulevard and C.R. #56. <br />The League of Minnesota Cities has been assigned to the case. <br />• <br />3) Patching along Alpine Drive <br />Principal City Engineer Olson noted that the patching has been completed along Alpine Drive. <br />Councilmember Kurak inquired if the patching was in good condition. <br />Principal City Engineer Olson replied that the patching is completed, but the contractor has been <br />advised that if the patching is not in good condition this spring it will have to be redone. <br />4) C.R. #116 Study <br />Councilmember Anderson questioned the status of the C.R. #116 corridor study. <br />Principal City Engineer Olson replied that the access management plan was presented earlier this <br />summer and the final report is currently being prepared and should be presented within the next <br />month. <br />Public Works Committee/November 19, 2002 <br />Page 13 of 15 <br />
