Cotmcilmember Elvig noted a couple of items he didn't see in the document such as code <br />cn/'orccmcnt/rccycling and zoning. <br /> <br />Corn m unity Development Director Trudgeon stated there has been no cross-checking of the tasks <br />yet. <br /> <br />Mayor (hunec stated that Council was included in working out objectives and goals with staff. <br /> <br />Mr, Norman added that the "blue" sheet in the materials is more detailed than the goals and <br />ol2icctivcs. He stated that staff will make sure these items are cross-checked and Council will <br />receive thc more updated version. <br /> <br />Councilmcmber Elvig noted the Park & Trail Plan that the language "and adopt" should be <br />added. I Ic continued that there should be something in the document about a policy for tree <br />rcplaccm ont. That could be worked on with the Environmental Specialist. <br /> <br />('mmcihncmbcr Cook stated that it's been brought up time and again about a tree bank. <br /> <br />l"ire ChiclYDireclor of Public Works Kapler stated that item is in the document. He added there <br />is a checklist lbr desired species, etc. and there has been discussions relating to "tree harvesting <br />and banking". <br /> <br />Counci hncmber Oison inquired if citizens could contact City staff with trees that they would like <br /> donate. <br /> <br />Mr. Kaplcr discouraged that saying it would be a tough liability issue because City staff would <br />bc going on priwtte property. <br /> <br />2) Strategic Planning Session Prioritizing <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman noted the draft summary (included in the agenda packet) of the <br />l,eadership session with Carl Neu. This could be an item on the next agenda - to adopt these <br />goals. <br /> <br />Councilmember Strommen stated that last year we had action steps and inquired if we should <br />wait until we have action steps for these items. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Trudgeon stated that the sooner we get goals out, the better. <br />Wc can come back and show Council the action steps. <br /> <br />Councihncmbcr Strommen agreed that the Council could adopt the goals and review the step <br />process later. <br /> <br />Assislant City Administrator Nelson stated that during the session with Carl Neu, we listed all <br />our goals and then were asked to condense them.
