Commissioner Olds clarified the third sentence in the clarification should be the proposed <br />construction sequence will need to be reviewed by the lower Rum River. <br /> <br />Civil Engineer 17 Linton stated this will have to be reviewed and proposed by the Lower Rum <br />River and he was not sure where this was at in the process. <br /> <br />Commissioner Stu'yock did not know where they were in the process regarding the 'sidewalks. <br /> <br />Chairperson Johns stated the developer will need to pay for the sidewalks. <br /> <br />Commissioner Ostrum did not think they needed a sidewalk in that area. <br /> <br />Commissioner Shryock wondered if they could ask for cash in lieu of a sidewalk. <br /> <br />Commissioner Ostrum indicated they needed to be careful because they do not want to set a <br />precedent. <br /> <br />Chairperson Johns noted they mightwant to connect 149th and Fluorine/151 <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Riverblood thought this should be presented to the City Council with <br />the option of either installing a sidewalk or to get money in lieu of a sidewalk. He suggested <br />using some cash proceedk from this if a sidewalk was not required, be used for purchasing of <br />land to extend the connection from 150th to 149th. They already have a corridor on 150th and <br />could connect with purchasing more <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Ostrum, seconded by Commissioner Lehman, to accept Park and Trail <br />dedications in cash for Ramsey Meadows 5th in the amounts of $15,400 for the Park and $3,850 <br />for the trail dedication, adding the value of sidewalks in cash if the City Council does not <br />recommend the sidewalks and dedicate some of the sidewalk/trail money toward connecting the <br />piece between 150th and 149th. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Chairperson Johns, Commissioners Ostrum, Lehman, LaMere, <br />Olds, Pontius and Shryock. Voting No: None. Absent: None <br /> <br />Case #4: Recommend Park Dedication for Brookfield Addition <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Riverblood noted the purpose of this case is to recommend Park <br />Dedication for the proposed 179-acre site west of Nowthen Boulevard and south of Trott Brook. <br />This urban development proposes 235 single-family lots. The March 3, 2005 recommendation of <br />the Planning Commission was to not approve the sketch plan until the Comp. plan is sorted out. <br />In addition, Oakwood Land Development is preparing an exhibit that will show specific trail <br />routing within and beyond the plat. <br /> <br />Chairperson Johns asked for clarification on the easement, how this fit into park dedication. <br /> <br />Park and Recreation Commission/March 10, 2005 <br /> Page 6 of 11 <br /> <br /> <br />
