Case #7: <br /> <br />Consider Park Dedication for Town Center Gardens 3rd Addition <br />Preliminary Plat <br /> <br />C ivi l Engineer Il Linton noted Brightkeys Development has submitted the preliminary plat for <br />Ramsey Town Center 3rd Addition. The development is located north of Bunker Lake Boulevard <br />and west of Ramsey Boulevard, adjacent to the previous phases of the project. The sketch plan <br />was submitted to the Planning Commission in August 2004. It was not accepted. The developer <br />xvorked with staff.' and residents to address the concerns raised at the meeting. A revised sketch <br />plan wa~ submitted in January 2005. This sketch plan was approved and this preliminary plat <br />reflects lhe approved sketch plan. <br /> <br />Commissioner Shryock asked how long the MSA road plan been there. <br /> <br />Fire Chief Kapler stated there has been a desire to connect the road but there are no plans, only a <br />concept of connecting the roads. <br /> <br />Commissioner Shryock asked what happens with the realignment and the residents. <br /> <br />Civil Engineer Il Linton stated the first approach is to work with the homeowner. He stated they <br />cio not have a timefi'ame but they have put this in the C~ to connect the roads. <br /> <br />Civil Engineer II Linton noted as part of the Town Center AUAR, they have shown some <br />parameter areas as being signalized so they need to make sure the connections end up there. <br /> <br />The Commission discussed the trails and connections on the map. <br /> <br />Corn missioner Ostrum asked if they needed some land dedication. <br /> <br />Civil Engineer Il Linton stated staff was recommending full cash dedication for completion of <br />thc trails. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Pontius, seconded by Commissioner Ostrum, to accept Park <br />Dedication for Town Center Gardens 3rd in the amount of $433,400 and trail dedication in the <br />amotmt of $108,350 contingent on the exact number of units and to include finishing <br />construction of the trails from the previous two additions along Ramsey Boulevard. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Johns, Commissioners Pontius, Ostrum, LaMere, <br />Lehman, Olds, and Shryock. Voting No: None. Absent: None <br /> <br />C/vii Engineer I[ Linton noted all of the money can go towards the parks within Town Center. <br /> <br />(iasc #8: Consider Support for Anoka Aquatic Center for 2005 <br /> <br />Civil Engineer II Linton stated the City has supported the Anoka Aquatic Center with a cash <br />contribution for- the past seven (7) years. The issue has been addressed at the Finance Committee <br /> <br />Park and Recreation Commission/March 10, 2005 <br /> Page 9 of 11 <br /> <br /> <br />
