Member introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION # AUTHORIZATION TO HIRE A PATROL OFFICER WIIEREAS, On March 22, 2005, City Staff received Council authorization to rccrttit fbra patrol officer; and WItEREAS, this recruitment is necessary due to the retirement of Jim Balabon, which is effective June 30, 2005; and WltEREAS, staff' has conducted a recruitment process and is recommending that Jamy Schwartz be hired to fill the Patrol Officer position effective on or after May 16, 2005 at an hourly rate of $19.05; WItEREAS, Mr. Schwartz's appointment would be contingent upon successful completion oCa criminal background investigation, psychological exam and a pre- employment physical and drug screen. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: q'hat the City Council of the City of Ramsey confirms the recommendation of the Personnel Committee to hire Jamy Schwartz as a Patrol Officer. 2) That Mr. Schwartz will begin employment with the City of Ramsey as a Patrol Officer on or after May 16, 2005 at an hourly rate of $19.05. 3) That Mr. Schwartz's appointment is be contingent upon successful cmnpletion of a criminal background investigation, psychological exam and a pre- employment physical and drug screen.
