Mr. l)ob [tamborg, 15755 Traprock, stated one common thing discussed has been the roads. <br />1)evelopers used to help layout roads in the City and he did not see this happening anymore. He <br />stated traffic is putting too much stress on their roads. He stated he would like to see the City <br />involve thc Police Department in the planning of the streets. He stated they are not against <br />development but it needs to be done in a systematic and fair way. <br /> <br />Mr. I Iunt noted there are safety issues in wide-open spaces too. <br /> <br />Mr. Chuck F, ngstrom explained the southern exit of the addition is to Marble Street. There is <br />only one exit that goes onto a County Road. He stated he is concerned they would go ahead with <br />thc proposed addition without the change to the Comprehensive Plan. He thought the <br />Commission was finding out what residents of Ramsey wanted. He requested denial for this. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Van Scoy, seconded by Commissioner Shepherd, to close the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Vice Chairperson Johnson, Commissioners Van Scoy, Shepherd, <br />Brauer.~ I~cvine, and Watson. Voting No: None. Absent: Chairperson Nixt. <br /> <br />The public hearing closed at 9:33 p.m. <br /> <br />Commission Business <br /> <br />Vice Chairperson Johnson called the regular meeting of the Planning Commission back to order <br />at 9:33 p.m. <br /> <br />Commissioner Van Scoy stated in this area, rural developing, and the largest lot that can be <br />platted is three quarter of an acre and the smallest is a quarter of an acre. He stated without a <br />variance the developer can go in and put in seventy-one lots with lots the same size or smaller <br />than what is being proposed. The rest of the land would be an outlet waiting for the sewer to <br />coInc in. <br /> <br />Vice Chairperson Johnson explained the City Council's rationale behind changing the required <br />acrca[,,c. <br /> <br />Vice Chairperson Johnson stated if the Comprehensive Plan Amendment were to go through, his <br />thought was they would need density transition in some areas and they also have road issues that <br />would need to be resolved. <br /> <br />Commissioner Van Scoy stated the furthest southeast road seems a very odd placement. <br /> <br />Mr. Pctcrsol~ stated there is a mistake on the plat.
