This is a 100 square foot reduction in accessory building area on the property, however the <br />number of buildings will remain at ten (10). <br /> <br />Three of the accessory structures consist of cemented in wood poles with a metal panel roof, it is <br />Staff's opinion that these structures could easily be converted into structures with walls and <br />therefore these structures count towards the allowable accessory building square footage <br />restrictions. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Mr. Stickney's property is heavily wooded and the accessory buildings are strategically located <br />on the property as to not detract from the character of the area. Due to the line of trees along <br />173rd Ave, most of the accessory buildings are not visible from the public road. It is Staff's <br />opinion that by approving the conditional use permit to exceed the number of accessory <br />buildings and square footage restrictions would not adversely impact the character of the area. It <br />is also Staff's opinion that approving the conditional use permit would not diminish the use and <br />aesthetics of the parcel. <br /> <br />Staff is recommending approval of the conditional use permit with 'the condition that Mr. <br />Stickney and any subsequent owners agree not to construct any more accessory buildings on the <br />property. <br /> <br />Commission Action: <br /> <br />Motion to recommend that. the City Council adopt f'mdings of fact relating to Mr. Stickney's <br />request for a conditional use permit to exceed the number of accessory buildings on a property <br />and the accessory building square footage restrictions established in City Code. <br /> <br />Motion to recommend that the City Council approve Mr. Stickney's request for a conditional use <br />permit to exceed the number of accessory buildings on a property and the accessory building <br />square footage restrictions established in City Code based on the findings of fact, and adopt a <br />resolution declaring terms of same. <br /> <br />-or- <br /> <br />Motion to recommend that City Council deny Mr. Stickeny's conditional use permit request, <br />based on the findings of fact. <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br />Community Development Director <br />Principal Planner <br />City Attorney <br /> <br />PC: 05/01/01 <br /> <br /> <br />
