The fee will be a one-time fee that will be used to recoup the construction and architectural costs associated with the mezzanine area. Staff notified the Applicant of' the one-time mezzanine fee. It is Staffs understanding that the Applicant is in the process of assessing how much space they will need and what type of structure will be needed in the mezzanine are to provide a climate controlled setting. The structure and amount of requested leased space will be subject to the approval of the City Engineers. The applicam is proposing to utilize the driveway that will be installed for City access to the tower. There will be no personnel stationed at the site on a permanent basis. The City Attorney is currently reviewing the proposed lease agreement from Verizon Wireless. Verizon Wireless is currently proposing to enter into a lease agreement with the City. of Ramsey for water tower and equipment space in the amount of $24,00.00 annually. The lease agreement will need to be revised to include the mezzanine fee. Recommendation: City Staff recommends approval of the request contingent upon the City entering into a lease agreement with Ver/zon Wireless. Commission Action: Motion to recommend that the City Council adopt Findings of Fact relating to a request from Verizon Wireless for a conditional use permit to install a cellular antenna system on the City water tower. Motion to recommend that the City Council approve the request for a conditional use permit and adopt a resolution declaring terms of same. -or- Motion to recommend that the City Council deny the request for a conditional use permit.
