The subject property is approximately 5.1 acres (225,000 square
feet) in size and is zoned R-1R Rural Residential. On a 5.1 acre parcel, City Code allows a
maximum of 3,264 square feet of detached accessory building space and a maximum of three
accessory buildings on the property. The applicant currently has ten accessory buildings on the
property and a total accessory building area of 5,967 square feet. Staff met with Mr. Stickney on
Tuesday, April 24, 2001 and walked the property in order to get a better understanding of where
the accessory buildings are located and what the accessory buildings are being used for.
