Voting Yes: Chairperson Nixt, Commissioners Johnson, Kociscak, Reeve, <br />Sweet, and Watson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />The public hearing closed at 7:58 p.m. <br /> <br />Commission Business <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt called the regular meeting of the Planning Commission back to order at 7:58 <br />p.m. <br /> <br />Commissioner Kociscak noted that #6 and #7 of the terms of the permit should be amended to <br />read paintball instead of splatball. <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt inquired as to how many feet there was from the paintball course to the <br />highway. <br /> <br />Community Development Assistant Wald replied that she was unsure of the actual footage, but <br />noted that she had visited the site and there is a large buffer between the proposed course and the <br />highway. <br /> <br />Commissioner Kociscak inquired as to how far a paintball could be shot. <br /> <br />Brian Gower, Diehard Paintball, replied that a paintball would start to drop at 150 feet. <br />Chairperson Nixt inquired as to the likelihood of a paintball hitting the highway. <br /> <br />Mr. Gower replied that it was very unlikely. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Kociscak, seconded by Commissioner Johnson, to recommend that <br />City Council adopt Findings of Fact relating to the request for an interim use permit to facilitate <br />an outdoor paintball course and that City Council approve the request from Diehard Paintball for <br />a interim use permit to facilitate an outdoor paintball course, based on the findings of fact, and <br />adopt a resolution declaring the terms as proposed. <br /> <br /> Planning Commission/June 5, 2001 <br /> Page 6 of 28 <br /> <br /> <br />
