Mr. Bergerson is self-employed and has a
landscaping business. He parks his commercial vehicles and equipment at his residence (6211
167th Avenue N.W.). He does comply with the requirement to have his commercial vehicles and
equipment stored indoors or in an area that screens the equipment to a degree of 75% from the
public road and adjacent properties. However, Mr. Bergerson also desires to advertise his
business and erected 32 square foot sign at the entrance to his property. Mr. Bergerson's
property is zoned R-1 Rural Residential and City Code does not make provisions for advertising
signs in residential districts.

Planning Commission/August 7, 2001
