Mr. Hinrichs replied that if the City is willing to maintain the street he would rather the City take <br />ownership of it because he does not have the means to take care of it. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen inquired if the road was built to City standards. <br /> <br />Director of Public Works Kapler noted that there is no right of way beyond the curb, but they <br />could research the idea further. <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman noted that he will place the item on the Public Works agenda. <br /> <br />Case #4: <br /> <br />Adopt Ordinance Renewing Quad Cities Cable Communication Franchise <br />Agreement <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman stated that on January 23, 2001, the City Council conducted a public <br />hearing to receive public comment for the proposed cable communication franchise agreement. <br />No comment was received. Council then introduced the ordinance renewing the franchise with <br />the Quad Cities Cable Communications Commission Cable Television Franchise. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Gamec, seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen, to adopt Ordinance #01-03 <br />renewing the franchise agreement with the Quad Cities Cable Communications Commission <br />Cable Television Franchise. <br /> <br />A roll call vote was performed by the Recording Secretary: <br /> <br />Councilmember Kurak aye <br />Councilmember Zimmerman aye <br />Councihnember Hendriksen aye <br />Councilmember Anderson aye <br />Mayor Gamec aye <br /> <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Case #5: <br /> <br />Consider Petition Regarding Improvement Project #99-67 (Mississippi River <br />Stormwater Subdrainage District No. 1) <br /> <br />Item was tabled. <br /> <br />Case #6: Adopt Ordinance to Create Tower Overlay District <br /> <br />Principal Planner Trudgeon stated that on January 9, 2001, the City Council introduced an <br />ordinance to create the tower overlay district, which identified residential area where commercial <br />tower could be located as long as the parcel was ten acres or greater. <br /> <br />City Council/February 13, 2001 <br /> Page 11 of 28 <br /> <br /> <br />
