Speakers <br /> <br />Matt Kramer is Commissioner of the Minnesota Department of <br />Employment and Economic Development. Prior to his appoint- <br />ment in January 2003, Kramer was vice president of marketing <br />at Syntegra USA, a subsidiary of British Telecom. Kramer man- <br />aged marketing and communications for several business units <br />aligned with specific industries, including telecommunications, <br />manufacturing and energy. Kramer joined the company in 1995, <br />when it was still known as Control Data Systems, and led the <br />company's upgrade of technology delivery systems for the man- <br />aged services division. <br /> <br />Kramer shares Governor Pawlenty's commitment to improving <br />the competitive position of the state's economy by facilitating <br />the growth of new and existing businesses, and he's a strong <br />supporter of the governor's plan for tax-flee zones in distressed <br />economic regions.
