PC CASE <br /> <br />CONSIDER AUTHORIZATION TO HIRE <br /> AN ACCOUNTANT I <br /> <br />By: Givonna Reed, Human Resources Manager <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />On April 8, 2005 the City's Senior Accountant resigned; subsequently, on April 12, 2005 <br />stuff was given authorization to begin the recruitment process for an Accountant I to <br />replace the Senior Accountant. The position was advertised and approximately 40 <br />applications were received. Seven applicants were given first interviews and three <br />applicants were given second interviews. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation: <br /> <br />Sm~'f~ is recommending Angelica Hoeffner for the Accountant I position at an hourly <br />wage of $18.46, plus benefits. The results of Ms. Hoeffner's criminal and driver's license <br />background checks, reference checks, and pre-employment physical and drug screen were <br />satisfactory. With City Council approval, Ms. Hoeffner will begin employment on June <br />13, 2005. <br /> <br />Committee Action: <br /> <br />Cvlotion recommending Angelica Hoeffner for the Accountant I position at a starting wage <br />of $18.46 per hour, plus benefits contingent upon City Council. <br /> <br />05-24-05 <br /> <br />-499- <br /> <br /> <br />
