1. Develop two (2) land use scenarios to provide the City with direction for future land <br /> use densities; natural resource preservation; parks, trails, and open space; roadways <br /> and circulation corridors; community facilities; municipal infrastructure extensions; <br /> and growth sequencing. <br /> 2. Elicit comments from all key stakeholders and policy makers regarding the concepts <br /> developed. <br /> 3. Obtain feedback from the public through two open house meetings. <br /> 4. Develop the final land use and development staging plan based on comments and <br /> -- suggestions. The goals and objectives developed through the Ramsey3 initiative and <br /> other independent studies will be used to the extent appropriate,for the development <br /> -" of the final plan. <br /> --- Deliverables: Two (2) land use concept scenarios. <br /> — Meetings: One meeting with staff to review concepts and two open house meetings. <br /> — Key Staff Involved: Richard Thompson, Mark Kaltsas, Berry Farrington, Angela Torres, <br /> Corey Sader <br /> TASK 3: TRANSPORTATION PLAN <br /> "- Objective: Address changes in transportation needs since the last plan was completed, <br /> - focusing upon the existing roadway system, roadway system needs, transportation <br /> forecasts, adequacy of the roadway system in light of future needs, and development of <br /> — a roadway system plan. Transit, an important transportation source for Ramsey, will also APPROACH <br /> be addressed. The transportation element of the Comprehensive Plan will build upon the <br /> existing Comprehensive Plan, and will be coordinated with Anoka County and take into <br /> account the Metropolitan Council System Statement for transportation. <br /> Description: Due to its location, physical constraints and growth,transportation is critical <br /> ▪ to the future livability of Ramsey. The transportation element of the Comprehensive Plan <br /> will build upon data contained in the existing Comprehensive Plan while updating future <br /> traffic needs based upon updated population, household forecasts, future land uses, <br /> and changed conditions. Goals and policies will be revised and System Statement <br /> requirements taken into account. Anoka County plans will be integrated into this <br /> — element.
