As part of the comprehensive <br /> — plan process, neighboring governmental units and other government agencies and units <br /> _ of government have opportunity to review and comment on the final comprehensive plan. <br /> Periodically through the comprehensive plan development process, consultants and <br /> staff will meet with and provide information to these governmental units to obtain their <br /> comments. As Ramsey works with these other governmental units, it will be much easier <br /> — to secure positive comments after completion of the comprehensive plan process. <br /> — Description:Affected neighboring units of government will be invited to the initial public <br /> information meeting to listen and express their concerns regarding the Comprehensive <br /> Plan. When the initial draft plan is complete,copies will be circulated to those neighboring <br /> units of government,as well as watershed districts,Anoka County,and the school districts. APPROACH <br /> Their comments and concerns will be solicited so that, if possible, they can be addressed <br /> in the Comprehensive Plan. If necessary, a meeting will be held for all neighboring units <br /> of government to address their concerns. <br /> Deliverables: A short chapter documenting the written comments received from these "°7 } + <br /> — units of government with a written response to the comments or concerns.This information -'` <br /> will be contained in the Appendix of the Comprehensive Plan. <br /> Key Staff Involved: Richard Thompson, Angela Torres <br /> TASK 8: SUMMARIZE AND INCORPORATE EXISTING PLANS <br /> A'm <br /> r, a r <br /> — Objective: To integrate the City's recently completed plans into the Comprehensive <br /> Plan which have not been already integrated into the land use, transportation, <br /> environmental resources,economic development,public facilities,and intergovernmental <br /> — coordination. <br /> Description: The consultants will review and identify the key elements from the recently <br /> completed plans to incorporate into the Comprehensive Plan. Special attention will <br /> — be given to City goals and policies developed earlier in the planning process and to <br /> Metropolitan Council comprehensive plan requirements.
