City of Ramsey <br />2008 Comprehensive Plan Update <br />Proposal <br />1VL <br />DSU <br />Bonestroo <br />3.3: PC/CC Workshop Meeting — Draft Vision, Guiding Principles, Goals and Policies <br />We will facilitate a joint Planning Commission and City Council Workshop to review the Draft Vision, Guiding <br />Principles, and Goals and Policies, and revise this section based on comments received. <br />Deliverable: Final Vision, Guiding Principles, Goals and Policies <br />3.4: Draft Plan <br />Based on the adopted Vision, Guiding Principles, Goals and Policies, DSU/Bonestroo will prepare a Draft <br />Comprehensive Plan for each of chapters identified above, or a revision and rearrangement of chapters as <br />agreed upon by City staff: <br />• Land Use <br />• Transportation <br />• Housing <br />• Sewer <br />• Water <br />• Park, Recreation and Open Space <br />• Mississippi River Critical Area <br />• Economic Development <br />• Environmental Protection/Resource Management <br />• Community Identity <br />• Public Facilities <br />Deliverable: Draft Comprehensive Plan Chapters <br />3.5: Draft Plan Task Force Topic Meetings <br />We will facilitate five topic meetings with the Task Force where we will focus on selected chapters of the plan — <br />one, two, or three chapters per meeting — to be determined in discussion with City staff. This will allow the <br />Task Force time to concentrate on each area separately before making recommendations on the entire plan. <br />3.6: Revise Draft Plan <br />Based on Task Force and City staff comments we will revise the Draft Plan for presentation to the Community <br />Open House, Planning Commission, and City Council. <br />3.7: Community Open House <br />We will facilitate a community Open House meeting where members of the community can review and discuss <br />the Draft Plan in an informal setting. The meeting will be set up with maps, plans, and selected information <br />arranged on boards and Power Point presentations. City staff and consultants will make a brief presentation and <br />be available to answer questions and discuss the features of the plan. <br />3.8: PC/CC Workshop Meetings — Draft Plan <br />We will facilitate two joint Planning Commission and City Council Workshops to review the Draft Plan and <br />revise the plan based on comments received. <br />16 <br />
