Councilmember Hendriksen replied that all of the significant density transition language has <br />been removed from the Comprehensive Plan and some members of the Council feel that it is <br />important part of the Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kurak inquired if density transitions is not something the City is required to do, <br />but something the Council desires to do. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen replied yes. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kurak replied that the Comprehensive Plan should not be a political issue. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen stated that the Comprehensive Plan is to be a representation of what <br />the citizens want. <br /> <br />Case #5b: <br /> <br />Adopt Ordinance Authorizing the Sale of Parcels Acquired from T & G <br />Land, Inc. (Sauter Property) <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich stated that the City entered into a TIF Agreement with Sharp and <br />Associates, LLC for the purpose of developing a parcel of land lying west of Sunfish Lake <br />Boulevard and south of the former Mate Punch and Die building. The City acquired the majority <br />of this parcel from T & G Land, Inc. and one smaller parcel from the Dickenson family. As part <br />of this transaction, the City is conveying the entire parcel to Sharp and Associates, LLC. In order <br />to complete the transaction a sale ordinance must be adopted. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Gamec, seconded by Councilmember Kurak, to adopt Ordinance #01-08 <br />authorizing the sale of those parcels of land identified as Anoka County PIN's 34~32-25-11- <br />0017, 34-32-25-11-0018, 34-32-25-11-0019 and 34-32-25-11-0023. <br /> <br />A roll call vote was performed by the Recording Secretary: <br /> <br />Councilmember Anderson: aye <br />Councilmember Kurak aye <br />Councilmember Zimmerman aye <br />Councilmember Hendriksen aye <br />Mayor Gamec aye <br /> <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />City Council/April 10, 2001 <br /> Page 12 of 18 <br /> <br /> <br />
