City Administrator Norman noted that they are not suggesting that they relocate the station, but <br />simply for the purpose of the study have the station be more centralized. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen inquired since one or both of the locations have to be located on the <br />Kurak property is there any conflict of interest for Councilmember Kurak. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich replied that this action would be for study purposes only so there would <br />not be a conflict. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Gamec, seconded by Councilmember Anderson, to confirm the rail station <br />location, for study purposes only, be assumed in a central location in Section 28 as designated by <br />the map of the Metropolitan Council Opportunity Site Project Manager's Letter dated April 13, <br />2001. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Anderson, and Kurak. Voting <br />No: Councilmembers Hendriksen and Zirnmerman. <br /> <br />Case 8a: <br /> <br />Introduce Ordinance Authorizing the Sale of Certain City Owned Property <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich noted that the purchase agreement for the property used a platted legal <br />description, but since the plat failed an ordinance needs to be introduced and adopted using the <br />metes and bounds description. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Anderson, seconded by Mayor Gamec, to introduce an ordinance <br />authorizing the sale of certain City owned property located in the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Anderson, and Kurak. Voting <br />No: Councilmembers Hendriksen and Zimmerman. <br /> <br />Case #9: Report from Personnel Committee <br /> <br />Councilmember Anderson stated that the Personnel <br />discussed the following four cases: <br /> <br />Committee met on May 8, 2001 and <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />Receive Information about Retirement of Patrol Officer and Authorize Recruitment <br />of Replacement Patrol Officer <br /> <br />The Personnel Committee recommended City Council authorize staff to begin recruitment of a <br />new patrol officer. <br /> <br />City Council/May 8, 2001 <br />Page 17 of 22 <br /> <br /> <br />
