2) Consider Ending Probationary Period of Office Supervisor <br /> <br />The Personnel Committee recommended Council adopt Resolution #01-05-200 ending <br />probationary period for Office Supervisor Joleen Weimann and granting her full time status, <br />effective May 8, 2001. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hendriksen, seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to ratify the <br />recommendations of the Personnel Committee for Cases 1 and 2. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Hendriksen, Zimmerman, <br />Anderson, and Kurak. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />3) Consider Policy Outlining Process for Department Head Performance Appraisals <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Anderson, seconded by Mayor Gamec, to ratify the recommendation <br />of the Personnel Committee for Case #3 as amended. The recommendation was to adopt the <br />policy entitled Performance Appraisals for Department Heads including the wording "for <br />improvement". <br /> <br />Further discussion: Councilmember Hendriksen stated that he felt that 90 percent of the policy <br />was better than no policy at all, but felt that there should be better wording than "...City <br />Administrator take under advisement..." He inquired if there was any wording that the City <br />Attorney could recommend. City Attorney Goodrich suggested amending the wording to read <br />"The City Administrator shall take into consideration the Council comments..." <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hendriksen, seconded by Councilmember Anderson, to amend the <br />policy to read "The City Administrator shall take into consideration the Council's comments in <br />writing an appraisal of the Department Head. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Hendriksen, Anderson, Kurak, <br />and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Anderson, Hendriksen, and <br />Kurak.
