Case #15: <br /> <br />Adopt Ordinance for the Rezoning of the Reilley Estates Property in Section <br />24 <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich stated that on June 12, 2001, the City Council introduced an ordinance to <br />rezone the property owned by Reilley Estates Partnership in Section 24 fi:om R-1 Rural <br />Residential to R-1 Urban Residential. City staff recommended adoption of the proposed <br />rezoning ordinance. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Gamec, seconded by Councilmember Kurak, to adopt Ordinance #01-16 which <br />is an ordinance rezoning from R-IR (Rural Residential) to R-1U (Urban Residential) the <br />property commonly known as the "Reilley Estates property," located in section 24 and legally <br />described in the ordinance. <br /> <br />Further discussion: Councilmember Hendriksen inquired as to what the City's obligation was. <br />City Attorney Goodrich replied that the City has been Court ordered to rezone the property. <br />Councilmember Hendriksen inquired as to what it would take to pass the rezoning. City <br />Attorney Goodrich replied a three fifths vote of the City Council <br /> <br />A roll call vote was performed by the Recording Secretary: <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman aye <br />Councilmember Hendriksen no <br />Councilmember Anderson aye <br />Councilmember Kurak aye <br />Mayor Gamec aye <br /> <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Case #16: <br /> <br />Adopt Ordinance to Establish Development Moratorium on Certain Parcels <br />in Section 29 <br /> <br />Community Development Director Frolik stated that on June 12, 2001, the City Council <br />introduced an ordinance to establish a 24 month development moratorium on certain parcels in <br />Section 29. The purpose of the moratorium is to protect the planning process while MnDOT, <br />Anoka County and Hennepin County perform a Northwest Metro Corridor and River Crossing <br />Study to consider long term options to address the relief of congestion on highway corridors and <br />river crossings. Per Council's direction on June 12, additional parcels in Section 29 have been <br />added to the moratorium area. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hendriksen, seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman, to adopt <br />Ordinance #01-17 to establish a moratorium on the development of certain parcels located in <br />Section 29 of the City of Ramsey, Anoka County, Minnesota. <br /> <br />A roll call vote was performed by the Recording Secretary: <br /> <br />City Council/June 26, 2001 <br />Page 24 of 28 <br /> <br /> <br />
