We should also have a financial advisor and he will say what he thinks you <br /> should do. We would like to come back and talk with you - we are open to all kinds of <br /> suggestions. We will listen to your needs and wishes. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Anderson stated we will have to do some Band-Aid work because we do not <br /> want to leave staff sitting this way for four years. <br /> <br /> It was determined that they would come back in a month. <br /> <br /> Barry inquired how big a Band-Aid Council is interested in. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated he would like to see figures for renovation with no expansion, renovation <br />with expansion, and a new City Hall. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen stated that what distresses him is that this says a renovation is not <br />feasible. He thought we had a 5~0 vote to look at renovating. He suspected that the project <br />people are getting direction that says expansion. <br /> <br />Councihnember Anderson stated we need to make clear on the space needs study that this space <br />(training room) needs to return to the Fire Department. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen stated that we as a Council need to decide what we are going to do <br />with all this space on the other side of this wall (at Fire Station No. 2). He said he thought this <br />was going to be for staff. <br /> <br />Mr. Norman stated that last year, Council agreed that it was not feasible to split up departments. <br />Councilmember Hendriksen asked do we need to make a plan where everyone is together? <br />Councilmember Anderson replied not necessarily. The Police Department could be separate, etc. <br />Mayor Gamec agreed that police departments are usually separate. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen asked what do we do with the current City hall - how will we sell a <br />building that is half a fire station? <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec recessed the Council work session at 7:45 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec reconvened the Council work Session at 7:55 p.m. <br /> <br />2) Comprehensive Plan Facilitator - Larry Bakken <br /> <br />Mr. Bakken referred to issues raised in individual Council interviews. He noted there were 10 <br />issues. Some of the Council has strong feelings about things.
