3) <br /> <br />Consider Developers Request for Elimination of Emergency Access Gate for River <br />Pines 4th Addition <br /> <br />Item was tabled. <br /> <br />4) <br /> <br />Investigation of Rusty Water Complaint Expressed at the October 16, 2001 Public <br />Works Committee Meeting <br /> <br />The Public Works Committee recommended that staff initiate a Customer Complaint <br />Tracking system that will identify the customer name, location, type of complaint and <br />action taken to resolve the complaint. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Kurak, seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman, to ratify the <br />recommendations of the Public Works Committee. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Kurak, Zimmerman, Anderson, <br />and Hendriksen. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #8: Report from Personnel Committee <br /> <br />The Personnel Committee met on November 27, 2001 to discuss the following cases: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />Renewal of Health Insurance Contract with the Public Employers Insurance <br />Program (PEIP) <br />The Personnel Committee recommended that a health insurance contract renewal with <br />PEIP for 2002-2003 with a contract addendum highlighting a "no penalty clause" for <br />early withdrawal. This renewal would be for the same level of benefit with the same <br />eligibility criteria as currently stands, and any changes would have to come back to <br />Council prior to being approved. The Personnel Committee also recommended that T.C. <br />Field & Company be retained as the City of Ramsey's agent to represent the City's <br />interests in dealing with PEIP at a fee not to exceed two percent of total insurance <br />premiums. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Anderson, seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen, to ratify <br />the recommendations of the Personnel Committee. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Anderson, Hendriksen, <br />Kurak, and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />Consider Revisions to Policy for Appointing Members of City Boards and~ <br />Commissions <br /> <br />The Personnel Committee recommended changes to the policy and tabled action for <br />further review. <br /> <br />City Council/November 27, 2001 <br /> Page 17 of 22 <br /> <br /> <br />
