the meantime the City could begin development of the buginegs park at Ramgey Boulevard and <br />where they meet can depend on the market. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that he stands by the location being located in the middle between Ramsey <br />Boulevard and Armstrong Boulevard because there would be a large area of land that would not <br />be impacted by any major roadway. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman stated that he felt the site should be located closer to Armstrong <br />Boulevard. <br /> <br />Councilmember Anderson stated that her preference would be to locate the site in between <br />Ramsey and Armstrong Boulevard, but she would be somewhat flexible with moving the site <br />slightly closer to Armstrong Boulevard. What she wants to avoid is a major roadway dividing <br />the Town Center site. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kurak stated that she felt that site should be located in the middle between <br />Ramsey Boulevard and Armstrong Boulevard. <br /> <br />Councihnember Hendriksen stated that if an area 500 feet east of Armstrong Boulevard was <br />identified and then a 100-acre half circle was positioned around that location he would agree with <br />that. <br /> <br />Mr. Bakken stated that the Council needs to make a decision so that they can move forward. <br /> <br />Consensus of the Council was that the Town Center site should be 50 acres. <br /> <br />Discussion continued pertaining to the location of the Town Center site, with a majority of the <br />Council selecting the middle location between Ramsey Boulevard and Armstrong Boulevard. <br />Mr. Bakken noted that that would be the location on the proposal presented to the Council to <br />vote on. <br /> <br />Mr. Bakken inquired as to what the Council's vision was of mixed use. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that he envisioned shops, retail, apartments above retail, and possible a <br />senior complex. He did not see single family residential or townhomes. <br /> <br />Councilmember Anderson stated that she would not be against some housing in the site and <br />would also like to consider a City Hall and a Post Office, as well as shops and a senior complex. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman stated that the recent election stated that the citizens of Ramsey <br />want a Town Center, but he would like to see half of the area between Ramsey Boulevard and <br />Armstrong Boulevard to develop as a business park.
