The purpose of the study is two-
fbld: to define the ideal service delivery model for Ramsey given the anticipated changes in
population and demographics and to determine the organizational structure needed to implement
and maintain Ramsey's ideal service delivery model.

At the Ju~.e 28, 2005 Finance Committee meeting, staffwas asked to provide information regarding
cost and funding sources. Once the
Request for Proposals is created and proposals are received, staffwill come back to the City
Council with a recommendation regarding which proposal should be accepted and specifics
regarding cost. Funding options will also be addressed, with the City Council prior to a proposal
being formally accepted.

Staff Recommendation

Staff recommends that authorization be granted to request proposals for an organizationa!
study.

Committee Action:

Motion to recommend that the City Council adopt a resolution granting authorization to
request proposals for an organizational study.

PC: 07-12-05

GSAdministtation~IumanResources\Org Chart-Org Structure\Organizational Study 2005~RFP for Org Study 07-12-05.doc

-353-
