noise. In this case there are only four lots that are fairly close to the highway. There are about <br />200 spruce trees on that site, about 40 of them will go to 16739 Nowthen Boulevard, a few into <br />Elmcrcst Park, and the balance will be moved in the site. They should be able to do some hefty <br />plantings in the limited area where there is exposure. There are also berms planned, and they <br />would like the option to put in six foot high board fences that are not solid and include breaks so <br />people can go around them. Oakwood Land Development would like the liberty to use all of <br />those measures on the four lots that are potentially impacted. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cook, seconded by Councilmember Pearson, to adopt Resolution <br />//05-06-191 to approve the preliminary plat of Marigold Pond. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Cook, Pearson, Elvig, Olson, and <br />Strommcn. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Jeffrey. <br /> <br />Case//6: <br /> <br />Request for Vacation of Easements in Alpine Woods; Case of Oakwood Land <br />Development <br /> <br />Community Development Director Trudgeon reviewed that the City Council approved the final <br />plat o1' Alpine Woods 2''a Addition on February 22, 2005. The 2nd Addition was a re-plat of a <br />portion of Alpine Woods, which included the standard drainage and utility easements. These <br />easements must now be vacated to allow for the recording of Alpine Woods 2nd Addition, which <br />includes new drainage and utility easements that will supersede the original easements in Alpine <br />Woods. A public hearing and Council ordinance is required to eliminate the underlying drainage <br />and utility easements that exist as part of the original Alpine Woods plat. The ordinance was <br />introduced at the June 14, 2005 Council meeting and is now ready for adoption. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Strommen, seconded by Councilmember Cook, to adopt Ordinance <br />#05-14 to vacate certain drainage and utility easements in Alpine Woods. <br /> <br />A roll call vote was performed by the Recording Secretary: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamcc: aye <br />Councihnember Cook: aye <br />Councihncmber Elvig: aye <br />Cotmcilmember Jeffrey: absent <br />Councihnember Olson: aye <br />Councihnember Pearson: aye <br />Councihncmber Strommen: aye <br /> <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Case #7: <br /> <br />Request for Comprehensive Plan Amendment for Portions of Ramsey Town <br />Center Addition; Case of Ramsey Town Center, LLC <br /> <br />Community Development Director Trudgeon reviewed that Ramsey Town Center LLC has <br />submitted an application for an amendment to the 2001 Comprehensive Plan.
